Re: BIG THANKS
Just stumbled across your website. Malone, dude, your movies are fantastically directed. You gave me one of my more memorable moviegoing experiences on Halloween of 1999 when I was seeing your "Haunted Hill" remake with some friends and one of them actually left the theater because it got too scary for him, which is something I had never seen happen first-hand.
All I really have to say is, keep it up, man.

Re: BIG THANKS
Monte83,
Hey I'm thrilled that you enjoyed that "Funky Old House" It was a great opportunity to have fun. I hear that they are going to make a sequel to it. It's always a sign that you've done something right when they want to make a sequel.
I'll continue making movies as long as anyone wants to see them. I pray at "Our Lady of the Virgin Film Stock" everyday.

Re: BIG THANKS
Not sure how I feel about a sequel. To be honest, I'm not much into the Dark Castle films beyond the one you did. After I saw "House," I was hoping they'd eventually get you to do "The Tingler," but the company has apparently gone in a different direction. Maybe I'll get interested in the sequel if Jeffrey Combs comes back and does his creepy ghost walk again. Heh.
"Fear Dot Com" is another great looking film, by the way. I like all that '30s-horror-movie-on-overdrive type stuff you do. I haven't seen your "Masters of Horror" episode, but I'll make a point to.
I also saw "Creature" when I was a little kid, but I'm afraid I don't remember much about it.

Re: BIG THANKS
I hope you do get a chance to see Fair-Haired Child (Masters of Horror). The episode turned out pretty well, I think. Even the people that hated Fear Dot Com, liked it. The reviews were amazing, not to mention it turned out to be the most watched episode of the season.
While were on the subject of Fear, I just want to say I understand why some people didn't like that film. It really was meant to play as a nightmare... The whole movie is (by design) in a dream state and I think not many got that (undoubtedly my fault). Also I think a lot of people expected it to be another House on Haunted Hill. I hope someday that people will accept it on it's own. If not I can only hope they will enjoy my future efforts.

Re: BIG THANKS
Hi,
I'm a big fan of your work, Mr. Malone.
The House on Haunted Hill and Feardotcom were fantastic. I really enjoyed them.
Great casting for Feardotcom. Stephen Rea was awesome.
Haven't seen your Masters of Horror episode yet, because its hard to get in my homecountry - Poland. Maybe it will appear on DVD later this year.
And finally I saw Creature yesterday. I must say that it was also fun and interesting. I can't wait to see your next movie.
Can you tell us what will be your next project?

Re: BIG THANKS
Paul,
Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm currently at work on a screenplay for a very cool thriller called PARASOMNIA which should go into production (film gods willing) later this year. I can't talk too much about it just yet. I'm also at work developing a rather sweeping Sci-Fi action film called PHOENIX DUST which won't be ready for awhile. I'll keep you updated. I really hope you get a chance to see the Masters episode.

Re: BIG THANKS
OMG, that's soooo cool I found your website. I remember some months ago I was lookin for some information about your upcoming projects but couldn't find an official site. To really have the chance to talk to you directly on this board just makes me excited. First of all I gotta thank you so much for House on Haunted Hill, which is probably my absolutely favorite horror movie. The first time I saw it i was 13 or so and it was really an incredible experience for me. I think it actually was the scariest and most nerve-splitting 90 minutes I spent in a theatre in my whole life. Even now i have some kind of strange feeling everytime I watch it (already saw it a dozen of times). The atmosphere of HOHH you created is simply marvellous and absolutely unique. Just once again a big thank you. Its really too bad you aren't directing the sequel cause I think you're the only director able to create something at least of the same value as the original. But I hope Victor Garcia is doing his best to create a decent return to my favorite house of horrors. I also think feardotcom was a great movie (can't agree with all the bad critics) and I was really sad it wasn't released in Austrian theatres (that's the country where I live - right between Germany and Italy...so sry for all the slips in the grammar at this point), but I watched it right after its DVD release and was again enthralled about your style of directing and uncompromising visions of nightmares coming true. - Oh and of course congrats for your Masters episode...again shining out of the rest with it's Malone-characteristics. OK, enough of the chorus of praise, I think you got it that I'm a huge fan of your work . Wish I could meet you some day in personal and having a little horrormovie-talk. So, in the end, I just can wish you all the best for your future projects and hope to see some of your new creepy work as soon as possible.
