Re: Robbys Current condition
Thanks for your question. Robby is made out of a couple of different plastics. His legs and clear dome are made of a product called "Lumerith" (no longer manufactured under that name) which is basically a form of Acetate. The rest of his body is made of Royalite (Made by Uniroyal). This material is an ABS plastic which is quite durable and was used to make luggage at the time. Robby's body, the ABS parts, seem as durable as when they were made. His legs are the only issue. This section gets a great deal of wear and the "Lumerith" is becoming somewhat brittle. When I used Robby in Looney Tunes, I had KNB (FX house) make up a new set of legs to exact specifications so as to save wear and tear. I regularly inspect the old boy to make sure nothing is going on with him. So far he's in great shape for his age.

Re: Robbys Current condition
Thank you for responding Mr. Malone IM glad Robby is in good hands
IM wondering if I can bother you for some measurements and stats of Robby?
I have read that the Suit in the film was over 7 feet tall (I believe 7' 6") how tall is it now, has he gotten shorter with age?
I have also read that he weighed around 300lbs is this true seems a bit heavy for plastic and some metal?
Can I get an Idea of what makes up that 300LBS if he does weigh that much?
The weapons neutralizers On the head can I get a diameter measurement?
Thank you for taking the time to talk

Re: Robbys Current condition
There has always been some confustion about Robby's height. I've seen articles on him stating his height anywhere from 6ft to 9ft tall. The truth is he's (as stated in the blueprints) 6' 11" tall. He weighs in at just over 100 lbs. (a few biscuits at tea time do add up). Still and all you don't want to take any long walks with him.

Re: Robbys Current condition
Thanks
I just got the anniversary edition of the movie, cool parts on Robby just had to say that. The thing I found most interesting was what he looks like on the inside that's wild, alligator print LOL. Nice bits of info thanks again for sharing.
